Throughout the morning show on Black Friday Emily covered what became the earliest start ever for the shopping day. She snagged live interviews with shoppers, store management and made sure to stay right in the action of the busy morning.

Emily covered how many hotels in the area were full or mostly booked with people in town for the MU vs. KU basketball game that weekend.  She also learned that the hotels were already sold out for the football season months down the road -the first SEC football season for MU athletics. 

Without a live truck available, I went live from the city council building from my computer. The council discussed the budget proposal for the next fiscal year.  I stepped out of the meeting to do my live Skype hit for the 9 p.m. show. 

After spending the night at the TV station, I reported live during KOMU 8's extended morning show for storm coverage.  The blizzard dumped nearly 2 feet of snow, here's some of my live reports throughout the morning.
